Object

To build a team of drivers that will accumulate the highest points total of any owner by the end of the 2008 1st half .  Then to do the same for the 2nd half of the 2008 season.  Two separate contests.

Entry Fee

Participants will pay a fee of $25.00, which will entitle them to become the owner of their own fantasy NASCAR team. This is a one-time fee with no other charges throughout the 1st half. The 1st half runs from the Daytona 500 thru the Chicago race. There are 19 races in the 1st half. 

The 2nd half will then become a whole new contest for an additional $25 entry that will run from the New England 300 until the season ending Ford 400 at Homestead.  Updated salaries will be posted about 2 weeks before the 2nd half begins.

Prize Money

The owner who accumulates the highest points by the end of the 2008 Chicago Race will be the 1st half Champion. Prize money will be awarded as follows:

How to Play

Each owner will have $10,000 in fantasy money to draft his/her racing team, buying drivers who are valued according to my salary list. The values of all drivers who are eligible to be selected are listed in FANTASY NASCAR DRIVERS.

Each team owner must draft 8 drivers without exceeding their $10,000 salary cap. However, an owner is not required to spend all of his/her $10,000.  You will have these drivers throughout the 18 week challenge.

All teams must be registered and have their draft selections by 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008.

 

Point Scoring

Each owner accumulates points earned by his/her drivers based upon the Official Fantasy Cup Point System listed below:

Five additional bonus points are awarded to each driver who leads a lap and 5 bonus points go to the driver who leads the most laps.

 

Race Results

The results of each race will be taken from the NASCAR Online, Official Results. The results of each week’s race will be available on Tuesday after each race. The results will be posted on the web page. You can e-mail me for the results also.

Errors: Occasionally an error may be made. If you feel you have located an error, email or call me at the numbers above. However, most errors will be caught by me within one week.
