FANTASY NASCAR 2008 - Rules
Introduction
Welcome to the 2007 Fantasy NASCAR challenge, a fantasy league of real Winston Cup drivers.
You will compete against other race fans throughout the city to see who's the best at judging racing talent.
Points will be based on the actual "Winston Cup" points accrued by each driver.
Drafting
You will start with a $10,000 salary cap of imaginary money to draft a team that you think is the best team for the money. Each team will consist of
exactly eight drivers which you will choose from the driver salary list
on this website. Each driver will have a dollar value, and you cannot spend more than the $10,000
cap. But you don't have to spend the whole $10,000 in the draft. Rosters must be submitted by
Saturday Feb
16 so team rosters can be posted before
the first race.
Reports
After every race, information including a summary sheet of our league results, a roster sheet with each teams drivers and a brief newsletter updating you on pertinent information regarding our league... will be posted to the internet at
http://mrpickem.org
Prize Fund
The prize fund will be determined by the amount of people that join the league.
95% of your entry fee will go into prize fund. So the more people that join, the larger the pot.
The prize fund will be divided amongst the top four point leaders as follows:
50% - 1st / 25% -2nd / 15% - 3rd / 10% - 4th. Our season will be divided into two halves with
the 1st half including 18 races up to and including the July 5 Daytona race. Prizes will be paid at that time and new teams will be drafted for the second half. Driver salaries will be restructured before the 2nd half draft.
Entry Fee
$50 is all you will pay for a full year of fantasy racing. $25 will cover the first half of the season and another $25 will cover the second half. 1st half fees must be paid before the Daytona 500. 2nd half fees must be paid before the July
12th Chicago race. You may play just 1st or 2nd half. Two separate contests.
